What is a token ID?

AndDone uses tokenization to enhance payment security.

The token ID for credit card payments in the AndDone portal is a unique identifier generated when a credit card is used for payment. The token ID is a secure and encrypted code representing credit card details, such as the card number and expiration date.

By using a token ID, AndDone ensures that sensitive credit card information is not stored or transmitted, providing an added layer of security for both the customer and the company. When a customer makes a credit card payment in the AndDone portal, the system generates a token ID to associate with the customer's account. This token ID is then used to process the payment without exposing credit card information.

In addition to enhancing security, token IDs also help maintain compliance with industry regulations, such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which sets requirements for handling and storing cardholder data.
